The customer wanted to replicate the original 1930’s white sashes on black frames for their property. The windows and doors were timber frames with single glazing – they were noisy and cold, draughty and damp. The customer did think they needed to go for triple glazing to make an impact and difference to the efficiency of their home but Cosyhomes were able to demonstrate by upgrading to double glazing alone, it was giving them the solution they needed at the same time as saving them on the additional cost of the Triple Glazing. A great project for us demonstrating the possibilities with coloured foils, leadwork, adjustments in casements sizes and equal sightlines. We are informed that many neighbours have commented on the job and we received this glowing review.

“We wanted Cosyhomes Windows to replicate the 1930’s wooden black frames/white sashes for a UPVC equivalent at our property. From the first phone call to the final installation they had a very warm, friendly approach – they never pushed or pressured our decision.

The end result is fantastic. The quality of the windows are just as we’d expect and the level of workmanship is very pleasing. We would highly recommend this local, family business to anyone looking to replace their windows.”

We visited this semi-detached property in Tolworth, and were asked by the customer to price windows and doors for the whole house. What was apparent when we surveyed the job was that the two bay windows on the front had dropped massively. The only solution was to demolish them both and rebuild with appropriate footings and proper reinforcing. All work was carried out by our in-house team, and in only 1 day (1 very long day) we had rebuilt the bay structures and secured the property ready for the windows to be installed.

The rest of the installation was plain sailing from there. New windows and doors have completed changed the look and feel of this once tired and outdated property, to that of the sophistication and style.

A well-established customer of Cosyhomes Windows; we were invited to carry out a whole-house installation on this property in Oxshott. The customer asked us to match into the original white casement windows with Georgian bars, ogee architrave and was very pleased with the end result.

The windows and doors were also replaced in the extension at the rear of the property, giving it the look and feel of a conservatory or garden room allowing more light and air flow. I’m sure you’ll agree, a fantastic installation and high quality job for Cosyhomes.

A lovely couple that Cosyhomes had previously worked for moved to this property out in Godalming. The task was to match the original timber windows, and replace some old patio sliders with French doors. At the same time we needed to replicate the arched detail section at the top of each casement – there were a number of different sized windows and doors so templates were produced and sent away for laser cutting. All windows and doors were to be aluminium, with an exacting style of diamond lead – the customer was looking for a meticulous and detailed approach.
Both the customer and the team at Cosyhomes were incredibly pleased with the end result.

“Having used Cosyhomes to fit the double glazing in our previous house they were at the top of our list for the work after we moved. Although not the cheapest in the market we knew their quality standards and were happy to pay the premium. We set them a big challenge not only in quality standards but technically to replicate the arched head style of our existing wooden windows with direct fix aluminium windows. They were also asked to replicate this to the French Doors we were having to replace the original Patio doors. We were also demanding on the way in which the leading was done. Cosyhomes rose magnificently to the challenge. They achieved all we asked and the result was as good, if not better than we had expected. The whole team, office and fitters, were a pleasure to deal with and we felt that nothing was too much trouble.

On this project, bearing in mind the task we set, it was only to be expected that some problems might arise. The hiccups that happened, not necessarily due to any fault of Cosyhomes themselves, were handled quickly and efficiently without any fuss. Of all the trades that we have used recently Cosyhomes were easily the best!”
